2.00×12 compatible 'Raleigh Redline' (16×2,
54-305). £12 each.
This is a light construction, nylon
reinforced, cycle grade tyre. Radial rib pattern, with
1.5mm tread depth. Inflation 35psi max. This
presently appears to be the only compatible new tyre available to
fit 2.00×12 rim size as per Raleigh Wisp, Ariel 3 and
Clark Scamp mopeds. The 'Redline' is cycle grade
construction, and lighter build than the former heavy
2.00×12 'moped' grade tyres by Avon, Dunlop, or medium spec
Vredestien and Michelin. 'Redline' only comes in radial rib
tread. Admittedly, Redline is not comparable to the
original 'moped' specification but, when it appears to be the
only tyre available for this size, then you may have to consider
it.

For anyone looking for 2.25×18 tyres
for their Mobylette AV89, SP50, Raleigh RM5, Norman Lido Mk3
or Phillips Gadabout Mk4, the Michelins are an obsolete tyre
and 2.25×18 is no longer available. We're
recommending to fit this 2.50×18 in place of the
Michelins. We've fitted these tyres ourselves onto these
bikes, and they go in OK without any fouling of the mudguard or
chainguard back. The handling is transformed, steering more
positively, and riding much nearer to a motorcycle than a
moped. When you've tried one of these mopeds fitted with
these tyres, you'll wonder why you didn't fit them years
ago.

26"×2"×1¾", 36 hole, new chrome rims for early autocycle and trade bikes. 1mm/19 gauge (0.040") section. Spoke hole 0.180" diameter. Valve hole 1/4" (0.250") diameter. £25 each.
Note: this rim size has been unavailable for a number of years now, since the last of the Van Schothorst stock dried up. The rims are plain of any marking, but they are certainly of Chinese origin. The section profile appears more comparable to the original Dunlop, where the Van Schothorst form used to be a little more ridged in the centre. The welded joint, polishing, and chrome plating generally appears better than the quality typically observed on Italian Radaelli rims. In terms of thickness, the original Dunlop rims were 18 gauge (0.048"). These Chinese rims are made from 1mm material, equivalent to 19 gauge (0.040"). The Van Schothorst rims used to be produced in 21 gauge (0.032"), which was only a light cycle gauge section, and not well suited to the powered application of autocycles. The thicker section of these Chinese rims suggests that they should perform much better. The pierced spoke hole size is 0.180" (the Van Schothorst rims were just the same in this aspect), which may require cleaning out slightly to build, since Suffolk Wheels report that the standard 12 gauge spoke nipple is 0.200" diameter. The pierced (cycle) valve hole size is 1/4" (0.250"), which will require opening up to 5/16" (0.312") for anyone wishing to fit Schrader valve inner tubes.

600×50B Endrick pattern new chrome rims (24" equivalent). 36 hole pierce for 7 gauge diameter spoke nipples (0.179"/4.5mm). Valve hole sized ¼"/0.250"/6.4mm (would require drill through to 5/16"/8mm to fit Schraeder valve inner tube). £36 (limited stock).

2"×19" (1.20) Radaelli 'Westwood' pattern 36 hole rims. Suitable for typical tyre sizes 2.00×19/23x2 or 2.25×19/23×2¼. £38 each.
Note: Inside of rim stamped: =E-19×1.20-DOT="Radaelli" There are no markings on presentation faces. Pierced spoke hole diameter 0.240"/6.08mm. The rim is formed from 0.048" (18 gauge)/1.2mm steel, so these are good solid construction. These rims are latest import 06/10 batch. An independent sample inspection by a professional wheel builder reports "The quality of the pierce, welded joint, polish and plating standard on this latest 06/10 batch is very good indeed. Certainly far better than any earlier batches I've seen".

Note: Industrial quality, which means they're solid enough, cheap, cheerful & shiny, but the level of finish is a bit grainy and 'commercial' chrome.

actuating lever c/w cable adjuster. £18 each.
Note: The Excelsior decompressor
valves are notoriously prone to losing their operating levers,
then you can't work them anymore. Villiers decompressor
valves don't fit. This actuating lever fits straight into
the original Excelsior decompressor valve body and restores it to
practical operation.
You do need your own decompressor valve body. This is
not included with the lever kit.

Honda C50/C70 rear mudguard panel repair section c/w lamp and
number plate mounting bracket. £27.
If your rear mudguard section is rusted out,
then this could be the answer. Simply replaces at the frame
joint. This is an OOH pattern panel kit. The quality
isn't up to original manufacture, but it's cheap, and a lot
better than rust!

Mobylette M40/N40 rigid frame models replica fibreglass
sidepanel mouldings. Comprises LH & RH panel mouldings
in fibreglass with presentation faces finished in coloured gel
coat. £30 pair or singly £15 per side.
Require painting to match the genuine panels;
N40/M40 models come variously with either LH or RH fuel
taps. With these panels both LH & RH are moulded
'blank', leaving the option of cutting relief either side to suit
LH or RH tap as required. The genuine panels were steel pressings
but, once fitted, these fibreglass covers are practically
indistinguishable from the original.

Comprises LH, RH, and top trim mouldings in fibreglass with

Villiers 3K moped engine: new mag flywheel cover badge. Approx size 2" × 1 5/16 to fit in the 3K engine mag flywheel cover recess. Self adhesive, and simply applied by peeling off backing tape and sticking in place. £4 each

"Classic" pattern moped handlegrips 4"/100mm long (black),
£4 pair.
Classic pattern grip is very similar style to
typical Mobylette, Amal, Magura, and Dare pattern grips.
Normally supplied as 1 × 7/8" grip for left
handlebar + 1 × 1" grip for throttle. If
you have a machine with twist change gear shift on the left bar,
then you'll need a 2 × 1" grips combination
instead. Same price. These are correct moped length
'short' grips; motorcycle grips are typically 5" long, so you end
up with 1" of 'baggy end' if you try putting those on a
moped.

"Radial rib' pattern moped handlegrips 4"/100mm long (black),
£3 pair.
Radial rib pattern gives comfortable 'palm'
form and minimises transmitted handlebar vibration.
Normally supplied as 1 × 7/8" grip for left
handlebar + 1 × 1" grip for throttle. If
you have a machine with twist change gear shift on the left bar,
then you'll need a 2 × 1" grips combination
instead. Same price. These are correct moped length
'short' grips; motorcycle grips are typically 5" long, so you end
